No one wants to see good land destroyed or a busy city be disrupted with heavy equipment excavation. Those outdated methods bring nothing but mess and grief.
Hydro Excavation is much more precise than any other type of excavation.
Traditional excavation, with its heavy machinery moves more dirt than is necessary and costs more when backfilling and cleaning up. Our ability to remotely excavate allows KLF Enterprises to remove soil and debris without disturbing the surrounding areas.
Pipe line flushing, or jetting, requires a lot of special equipment all rolled into one truck. Different size and style nozzles are attached to this hose to travel inside the pipe to flush it clean. A high-volume water pump supplies 80 gallons per minute of water through a hose and nozzle to flush out silt and debris.
The other water pump develops over 2000 psi water pressure to cut tree roots which may have grown into and clogged the pipe. Finally, a vacuum removes the dislodged silt and gravel for proper disposal at a nearby landfill.
The purpose of slot trenching is to dig narrow trenches. This is commonly needed for installing pipes, cables, signs, posts and other utilities underground. Since only narrow trenches are needed, hydro excavation provides a better option because of its accuracy and precision. Conventional slot trenching methods are not able to dig a narrow enough trench, increasing the mess and time, the costs of labor and material. KLF Enterprises slot excavation methods offer a way to complete the task without these issues.
Potholing, Window Trenching or Daylighting utilities is the process of hydro excavating to locate known subsurface utilities. This service is most often used when the depth, size or type of underground utility needs to be verified by a contractor.
Like most all hydro excavation methods, the process starts with a simple pot hole. With the high pressure water vacuum tube hovering above the designated surface area, the operator excavates straight down into the ground until the marked, known utility is located.
